Mr. Weigel attended Ithaca College for Vocal Performance and Music Education. While at Ithaca he held numerous opera roles, sang multiple solos with the Choir & Madgrigal Singers, accompanied choruses and recorded many original and pre-written songs in the Borg Warner recording studio. 

 

After completing his undergraduate degree, he immediately transitioned to New England Conservatory for graduate school to work on his master's degree in Vocal Performance. While at NEC, he held numerous opera roles, starred in a traveling outreach opera for children in Greater Boston,  and held a lead role in the US premiere of Rossini's La Gazzetta. During his spare time at NEC, he was the Baritone section leader and soloist at First Parish Church in Weston, MA, a dueling pianist at the famous Lansdowne Pub at Fenway, and had the opportunity to open in a quartet for Keith Lockhart and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus. He is the cantor and sub-organist/guitarist for St. Brigid and Gate of Heaven parishes in Boston. For the past three years (2013-present) he has sung as a baritone in the Boston Pops Holiday Tour with The Metropolitan Chorale. As of September of 2014, he is the Baritone Artist in Residence with the Chorale, performing in solo and choral capacities, while leading sectionals under the direction of Dr. Lisa Graham. Mr. Weigel is also in the process of recording a debut album of original songs that will be out later this year. When he isn't teaching, performing or recording, he is appearing as an actor in TV episodes, commercials and films.
